After retirement she sold her house and jumped on a sailboat with her husband to begin a five-year adventure exploring the Bahamas and Cuba. All in spite of the fact she was prone to seasickness, couldn't sail and was a weak swimmer. 'Each day was a gift and I wouldn't have missed it!'
Keeping adventures closer to home, Geraldine decided to craft her book into a series for readers ages 8 -14. There are four books in the historical fiction, Marauders Mystery Series, available in Chapters & Indigo Book Stores across Canada. 'The best way to teach children the history of our province is through story telling.' During school visits, students volunteer to dress up as characters in the books. Lots of fun! |
